Honest NookSmall-space storage

How Honest Nook picks things

Honest Nook covers storage and organization for small kitchens and rentals — the cabinets with a drain pipe through the middle, the doors you are not allowed to drill into, and the four feet of counter you actually have.

Most writing in this category is either a photo shoot you cannot reproduce or a list of products nobody opened. This page explains what we do instead, so you can decide how much to trust it.

The standard

Real listings only

Every product named here was checked against its live listing. Star ratings and review counts are read off the page, not estimated. If we have not checked it, it does not appear.

Minimum bar to be listed

4.3 stars or better across at least 1,000 reviews. A high rating on forty reviews tells you almost nothing.

The downside, stated

Every recommendation names at least one thing wrong with it. A product with no drawbacks means we did not look hard enough, not that we found a perfect one.

No prices printed

Prices change weekly. Printing one means the page is wrong within a month, so we link to the current listing instead.

Nobody pays to be here

No brand has paid for a placement, a ranking or a mention, and none can. The order of the picks reflects what we think fits best.

Measure before you buy

Under-sink organizers get returned because of the plumbing, not the quality. Thefit finder takes three measurements and tells you which shape can physically work in your cabinet. It gives shape guidance rather than promising a specific product will fit, because manufacturer dimensions are not something we have verified ourselves.

How the site makes money

Honest Nook is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When a page contains affiliate links, a notice appears at the top of that page before any link. If you buy through one, the site earns a commission and you pay the same price you would otherwise.

Guides carry no affiliate links at all. Only the pages labelled as picks do, and they are labelled as such on the home page before you click.

Corrections

If a product here has changed, been discontinued, or does not behave the way this site says it does, that is worth fixing. Corrections are made on the page rather than quietly deleted.
